Chechen burl is extraordinarily hard to find! This is one of the only times in 23 years that we've been able to offer it. In this turning stock you'll find incredible burl, color, patterns, and iridescence. It takes a smooth, high polish when turned. It has been air drying for a year, is completely wax sealed, and contains residual moisture. This piece has checks, please see pictures for details.
This stunning, kiln dried Buckeye burl is fantastic for stand out projects. Colors, figure, and patterns vary greatly from piece to piece. Bark inclusions and live edges are normal with this species as are some checks and voids. It is common for Buckeye to have 1/8” to 3/16” bow, cup or twist. The wood is very pliable; it is easy to apply pressure to boards to get them to lay flat. Buckeye is an extremely difficult wood to cut and procure. Enjoy this special treat! This outstanding material has incredible color with a range of figure and burl! Live edges, checks, and inclusions are a part of what make this wood unique. Epoxy resin is recommended to fill these areas. Some wood slabs have a slight 1/16” to 1/8” bow or cup but most are perfectly flat. Planer skip may be present. Sapwood may contain pin holes. They have been vacuum kiln dried and surface planed on both sides. This Claro Walnut is ideal for dining tables, coffee tables, bar tops and just about any other DIY woodworking project that you can think of. There is a 14" bark incursion present.

Kanista is a unique tropical species from Central America. The tree produces an egg shaped fruit that is wonderful for the human immune system and vision. The wood is dense and the burl has beautiful grain patterns, figure and eyes. Checks, inclusions, voids, and live edges may be present and are not considered defects. This rare hardwood burl is ideal for small, fine woodworking articles such as knives, pens, jewelry boxes, wood bowls, and more. This has been air dried for 2 years and may contain residual moisture.
This beautiful Buckeye burl is a great choice for wood turning! Golden & blue colors blend with burl eyes to yield distinctive woodworking projects. Genuine Angelique, Dicorynia Guianensis, is a beautiful hardwood from Suriname. It is often used in interior paneling, flooring, veneer, high end furniture, and turned articles. This unique cookie has air dried for two years. It is wax sealed and contains some residual moisture. This wood has high natural durability. What creative project will you make?
This kiln dried, exceptional quality Maple burl wood has been carefully surfaced on two sides and is ready to use now. A vast array of colors are possible, from white & gold to coral and red. Individual pictures show you exactly what you are buying, so you can select according to your preferences. Live edges, bark incursions, spalting, and surface checks may be present. Any spalted material is approximately 30% less dense than regular Maple. The spalting is solid enough to machine, but for best results, please stabilize the spalted areas with CA glue or epoxy. This cookie has a large incursion present at the center with some bark incursions and checks. There are some areas with knots present. Ideal for resin-pour. This will be shipped in a crate. Please allow 4-5 days to crate this slab.

Suriname Ebony, Swartzia ingifolia, also goes by the names Guyana rosewood and Wamara. The heartwood varies from purple/black color to red/brown with yellow sapwood. Select pieces have variegated streaks that add nice contrast. Suriname Ebony generally contains interlocked grain. This wood is very difficult to work and requires sharp blades. This fine grained hardwood produces a high natural polish that is worth the effort in working. Uses include inlays, fine furniture, turned articles, and other specialty items. This wood has been air drying since 2020.
This beautiful South American Hububalli cookie has been air dried and is ready to use. It has been hand sanded on one face but is NOT flat. It is ideal for resin pour tables, clocks, wall hangings, and decorative uses. This item is fragile and contains drying checks and cracks. Some of these cookies will break if dropped.
