This Redwood is kiln dried and ready to use. It has a great workability quality as well as fantastic coloring! Most pieces have a beautiful striping figure present. Live edges will contain checks. Overall this all very lightweight material that we know you will enjoy!
This African Teak lumber is kiln dried and has been surfaced on two sides. The heartwood ranges from yellow to golden with a slight hint of brown. It has a coarse texture with open grain. Quarter or rift sawn boards may show some ribbon or fiddleback figure, as shown in the picture of each item. This is an exceptional substitute for genuine Burma Teak at a fraction of the cost!
This high quality Oregon Big Leaf Maple was allowed to age a year or two in log form before being cut into blanks in January 2022. Freshly cut completely wax sealed, this wood is best worked using the twice turning method. A minor end check may be present. You’ll love the array of color, quilting, burl, or fiddleback, or burl in this fantastic Maple!
Brilliantly colored pink, this marvel of nature is a true Rosewood that has all of the incredible working properties of Rosewoods as well as a wonderful perfume aroma! It is air dried, surfaced on two sides, and ready to use. There may be an occasional rough edge or minor check present.

Jelutong is a fine, straight grained, low density wood that is exceptionally suited for easy carving and turning while allowing fine details to be cut into it. This excellent wood can be easily glued, stained, and finished. The wood grain is initially white, and then ages to a golden hue with time. A beautiful luster is often present. Kiln dried and surfaced on two sides. Palm front type inclusions may be present and will show up as a dark spot on the piece.
Australian Brown Mallee Burl has a distinctive mix of golden brown heartwood with contrasting white sapwood. These burled turning blanks have air dried for 2 years and contain residual moisture. Burl eyes may contain small checks and incursions which are normal for this species and add a unique look!
This beautiful mini slab is kiln dried, live edge, has hairline checks, and has a couple hairline checks. It would make a good coffee table.
Khaya/African Mahogany has rich, warm colors. Kiln dried and surfaced on two sides. This wood cannot be shipped outside of the USA due to CITES regulations.

This beautiful, clean material has interlocked grain with ribbon figure which adds a nice 3-Dimensional chatoyant shimmer. The color ranges from pink to reddish hues with some golden tones. It has a sweet and subtle fragrance. These pieces are kiln dried and surfaced on two sides. They may have a slight bow or twist up to 1/16”, usually on pieces over 36". The closed grain makes it easy to work with and it also takes a high polish!

Pieces with live edges generally will have checks in sapwood areas. Desert Ironwood Lumber is the densest North American and Northern Mexican species! This piece has a 1 inch check on right side of the numbers, it is sutable for sides or an acoustic back, or a drop top or base for an electric. We have never seen large enough pieces to make instruments before in desert Ironwood Lumber!

Piquiarana, a South American hardwood, has excellent turning properties and dries well with little degrade. Its specific gravity is 0.72, as compared to Claro walnut at 0.67. These turning blanks have been air drying for two years and contain residual moisture. Some pieces have dark colored incursions that make the wood unique. A rough corner edge or surface check may be present. Enjoy this beautiful and rare species.

Red Ironbark is an Australian wood that cuts nicely and takes a naturally high polish because of its density and the presence of oils. Fine, interlocked grain also contribute to the nice finish. This wood was freshly cut in November 2021 and completely wax sealed. We advise using the twice turning method for best results (turning within 4-6 weeks of receipt of the wood is recommended). Ironbark is prone to checks if not twice turned properly. Enjoy the stunning finish and rich color of this exotic wood.
This Granadillo has amazing grain, color, and density that is similar to Cocobolo, in fact it's often sold as Cocobolo in Mexico and is also known as Mexican Rosewood! The working properties are similar to a genuine Rosewood but it glues more easily because it's not as oily. Boards wider than 8" may contain a slight cup. This lumber has been kiln dried and surfaced on two sides.
Wonderfully spalted Alder is hard to find; this material has great colors and patterns! In fact, it is some of the nicest Alder lumber we have milled and offered! It has been kiln dried and surfaced on two sides with double end trims. Some boards have soft spalting (white color) while others have hard spalting (tan color) that must be incorporated into your project. Knots and checks in incursions may be present. Live edges are present in many pieces and are great for coat racks, boxes, shelves, guitar parts and more.
Australian Red River Gum has light pink to red colors that add a lot of warmth to projects without being overpowering. Beautiful figure may be present. This wood has been vacuum kilned dried and is ready to use.
Okoume is similar to Mahogany in its working & finishing properties. It sands & finishes well, yielding bright and cheery projects due to its iridescence. Pinkish/brown to golden tones with lovely figure make it an excellent choice for a wide variety of woodworking projects. There is a penetrating check in the knot present. Kiln dried and surfaced on two sides.
